U.S. Embassy Names Eastern Caribbean Youth Ambassadors for 2025

The U.S. Embassy to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean has announced its 2025 Youth Ambassadors, a group of four promising students and one dedicated mentor representing five countries across the region. This distinguished cohort will travel to the United States for a two-week leadership exchange focusing on civic engagement and community service.

Representing Antigua and Barbuda is 16-year-old Uchenna Ohaegbulam, a student at Island Academy International who is passionate about combating gang violence and juvenile delinquency. From Barbados, 17-year-old Kehzion Hepburn-Murray of Queen’s College advocates for mental health and holds multiple leadership roles in her school community.

St. Kitts and Nevis’ ambassador, 17-year-old Zyon Harding of Nevis Sixth Form College, is known for his involvement in media and environmental projects. From St. Vincent and the Grenadines, 16-year-old Christel Sutherland attends Girls’ High School and is active in science, technology, arts, and service initiatives.

Guiding these young leaders is mentor Sari Rolle, a Senior Teacher from Dominica with a strong commitment to youth empowerment and expanding opportunities for young people.

Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and implemented by Georgetown University’s Centre for Intercultural Education and Development (CIED), the Youth Ambassadors Program seeks to build mutual understanding and equip the next generation of leaders across the Eastern Caribbean with tools to make a positive impact in their communities.

The group is set to embark on their U.S. exchange in the coming weeks, ready to learn, lead, and inspire.
