“Is Your Life Better?” Pringle Takes Direct Aim at Browne Administration in Fiery Speech

United Progressive Party (UPP) political leader Jamale Pringle delivered a blunt and emotionally charged message to voters, asking a single question he said will define the upcoming election: “Is your life better, or is it worse?”

Standing before supporters on Sunday night, Pringle painted a stark picture of daily struggle across Antigua and Barbuda—families battling rising food prices, unreliable water supply, and deteriorating roads—despite years of government promises.

“Can you buy more groceries today? Are the roads smoother? Is the water more reliable?” he asked, insisting that citizens already know the answer.

Pringle accused the Browne administration of prioritizing optics over outcomes, pointing to what he described as growing hardship masked by political messaging.

He said the UPP is not offering “promises or slogans,” but a plan aimed squarely at improving everyday life.

With elections looming, Pringle framed the moment as a turning point, telling supporters the country must choose between “more suffering or something real.”
